We file a claim with FedEx if carrier lost the package, or If customer received a damaged item, with damage box or if customer received damage box and missing items.
Before filling claim we need:
Claim invoice
Images of damaged box from customer (If customer receive damage box or item)
Follow these steps to file a claim with FedEx:
Step1. Go to the FedEx website and log in to your account.
Step2.Under the Support section, find and click on the File a Claim tab.
Step3. Then, click on File Claim(s).
Step4. Input the Tracking Number for the shipment.
Step5. Select the appropriate claim type (e.g., Damaged, Lost, Missing).
Step6. Need to enter Shipper and Recipient information
6.1 Shipper Information: Enter the shipper’s name as Natasha Thomason.
6.2 Recipient Information: Use details obtained from the Magento page for the recipient.
Step7. Enter Item Details
7.1 Provide the following information from the claim invoice:
7.2 Item Description
7.3 Unit Cost
7.4 Quantity
7.5 Shipping Cost
7.6 Verify that the final amount matches the claim invoice.
Step8. Under the Describe Your Shipment section, select None of the Above as the reason for the claim.
Step9. Upload the following documents:
- Claim Invoice
- Mytee Logo
If the item is damaged, add photos of the damaged item or damaged packaging.
Step 10. Click Continue.
- On the next page, verify the Shipper and Recipient details.
- Confirm all the details are correct, then click Continue.
Step11. After reviewing all the information, click Submit to file the claim.
Step12. Once submitted, you will receive a case number for your claim. Retain this number for future reference.
Step13. Check the claim status within 5 to 7 days by going to the Report section on FedEx's website.
By following these formal steps, you will be able to successfully file and track your claim with FedEx.
